As I prepare to leave for Africa next month, I thought it would be a good idea to create a site where my friends & family could check in on me from time to time. So here's my new blog! I am so excited to share with you in my adventure serving the Lord in Africa. Please feel free to post comments or email me whenever your heart desires. Especially after September 26th, our departure date. I want to stay in touch with home as much as possible over the next 2 years.

Alita I'm so proud of you! I love you so much and wish you the best on your journey. I've been spreading the word of your trip, so many people ask me about it now that I wear the orange Team Tumai braclet. I'm going to wear it the whole time your gone to show my support. And if anybody reading this doesn't have a braclet yet, email me or my sister and braclet up baby! Spread the word!

Two years is quite a long time Alita. I for one will miss you (not that we ever really see each other these days.) It came as no shock to me that you are taking on this endeavor though. I am proud of you and inspired by your concern for others.

I am so excited for you and your mission to Africa! I always knew that God would lead you to do missionary work. Your heart is set on helping others and doing the Lord's good work.
